AN AWARD-winning folk duo will be taking to the stage at Bromsgrove’s Artrix on Monday (April 20).
Husband and wife – Sean Lakeman and Kathryn Roberts – were voted the Best Duo in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2013 and were also nominated for Best Original Song for their Ballad of Andy Jacobs.
The pair had been absent from the music scene for a decade before their highly acclaimed Hidden People CD was released.
Sean was touring with his brother’s band, while Kathryn was bringing up the couple’s twins.
The duo is renowned for its blending of Kathryn’s vocals with Sean’s inventive live guitar work on stage and his sonic skills in the studio.
On Monday, they will be playing songs from their brand new album Tomorrow Will Follow Today.
