FIVE people have been injured following a serious two-car crash in Bromsgrove yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

It happened about 3.45pm on the Stourbridge Road in Catshill when the two cars collided and both sustained serious damage to their fronts.

One of the drivers, a man in his 30s, suffered a head injury and was treated at the scene before being taken to the minor injuries unit at Kidderminster Hospital.

The man and woman in the front of the second car, who were both in their 30s, received treatment at the scene and were taken to Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital. The woman suffered leg and spinal injuries and the man had shoulder and back pain following the collision.

An eight-year-old girl and nine-year-old boy in the back of the car both suffered minor injuries.

After being checked over by ambulance staff, they were discharged at the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Spokesperson confirmed three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene.
