Fantastic line-up at free Rubery Festival

THE 2016 Rubery Festival takes Place at St Chad’s Park on Sunday (September 4) with a fantastic line-up of fun for all the family.

The free event kicks off at 12.15pm with a parade from the village’s Royal British Legion to St Chad’s Park where there will be the festival arena.

The official opening to be done by Standard editor Tristan Harris will take place at 12.25pm before the first act – Sophie Thompson – takes to the stage.

There will also be performances by Excels Dance (12.50pm), Emily Badger (1.10pm), the Bartley Green Stars (1.25pm), Scott Cartwright (1.45pm), Alesi Summer (2.05pm) and Dan Teplitsji (2.25pm).




Chrysalis will take centre stage at 2.35pm, followed by Esther Turner (2.50pm), Joe James Thomas (3.10pm), Issy Young (3.25pm), Summer Smith (3.35pm) and Ebony Green (3.45pm).

Jasmine Rawlins and Dylan Hartnell will perform at 3.55pm and 4.15pm respectively and Lucy Shaw will close the afternoon’s entertainment at 4.30pm.


The roadshow will be hosted by Phil Jones Hammersley and there will be a variety of charity stalls, along with home-made cakes, food and drink, children’s rides, a bouncy castle, quad bikes, train rides and pony rides.
