A STAGE version of Jez Alborough’s Duck in a Truck and family film screenings are among the half-term attractions taking place at Bromsgrove’s Artrix.

The Duck in the Truck production, by Blunderbus Theatre, will be performed at 2pm on Tuesday (October 28).

It is billed as a silly and hilarious show suitable for children aged between three and seven that will have the audience singing along and laughing out loud.

Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) and £32 for a family ticket.

Films being shown throughout the week include In Planes: Fire and Rescue and The Boxtrolls.

In Planes, at 2.30pm on Monday (October 27) and Wednesday (October 29), sees Dusty join forces with fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger to battle a massive wildfire.

And The Boxtrolls, which shows at 11am on Thursday and Friday (October 30 and 31), is about foul mosters who live beneath the charming cobblestone streets of Cheesebridge, crawling out of the sewers at night and stealing what the townspeople hold most dear – their children and their cheeses.

There is also an accessible showing of The Boxtrolls next Saturday (November 1) at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £6 (£5 concessions) or £3 for accompanied children and are available from the box office on 01527 577330 or www.artrix.co.uk.
