BROMSGROVE’S Avoncroft Museum will play host to a number of St George’s Day events next Saturday (April 23), including the chance for visitors to meet the dragon slayer himself.
Youngsters will also be able to try their hand at willow weaving and make a knight’s shield.
William Shakespeare’s 400th birthday will also not be overlooked – the venue will be celebrating the funnier side of England’s greatest playwright.
Visitors will be able to learn how to hurl authentic Tudor insults at the ‘Henry V Insult Workshop’ and with fools, jesters and clowns appearing in many of Shakespeare’s plays, Flotsam the Fool will be teaching visitors some of his favourite circus skills and juggling tricks!
No booking is necessary, residents can just go along and join in with the fun.
