THERE is a new sensory garden at Fairfield First School, thanks to a donation of £10,000 from Tesco raised through its Bags for Help scheme.

Headteacher Scott Smith said he was delighted with the opening, adding it would not have been possible without the supermarket’s contribution.

“We would also like to thank Steve Boaz and his team from Gardens of Reflection for working with our staff and children as they battled through all kinds of weather to create such a wonderful space.”

Staff and pupils and very pleased with and proud of the addition to the school and the benefits it brings to the children in the local area.
