AN art exhibition of paintings in the style of David Hockney will take place at Alvechurch Village Hall from Wednesday to next Saturday (July 21 to 23).

The ‘Homage to Hockney’ works have been produced at students of Pam’s Art Classes.

It began when Kamal Khan, owner of Grosvenor House nursing home, challenged the artists to produce art in the style of Hockney.

There will also be about 100 other new original works of art by the artists – many of which will be on sale.

Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid, schedule permitting, will judge the Hockney style paintings at the Grosvenor House Summer Fete next Saturday afternoon.

The exhibition will be open from 10am to 6pm (10am to 5pm on the Saturday), with free entry and refreshments available.
