THERE will be plenty of free fun for all the family in St Chad’s Park this Sunday (September 6) when the annual Rubery Festival / Carnival takes place.
The grand opening at 11.45am will get proceedings underway and there will be plenty of activities between then and 5pm.
Among them will be live entertainment from a variety of singers and dancers, including Search for a Star winner Kezza Belle, local female trio The Candy Dolls and Sophie Thompson.
There will also be a host of attractions for youngsters, such as children’s rides, bouncy castles and slides, a climbing wall and a bucking bronco.
And, when visitors’ appetites are built up, they will be able to check out a number of food stalls, including a hog roast, veggie burger van and freshly made cakes stall ran by Rubery café Polly Put the Kettle On.
There will also be charity stalls and a tombola.
If it rains, the live entertainment will take place in Rubery Social Club, opposite the park
