A HUSTINGS will be held in Bromsgrove next Saturday (June 4) ahead of next month’s EU Referendum.

The event, from 3pm to 5pm at St John’s Middle School, Watt Close, will begin with a brief introduction on the workings of the European Union before speeches by ‘Remain’ representative Prof Simon Green, vice chancellor of Aston University, and ‘Leave’ campaigner, the Rt Hon Michael Fabricant MP for Lichfield.

After the speakers have put their points across there will be time for those who go along to put their questions to them.

Questions can also be submitted in advance to the chair Hilda Roxborough by e-mailing [email protected]

On June 23 residents will be tasked with making a ‘once in a generation decision’ for Britain to ‘Leave’ or ‘Remain’ in the EU.

Next week’s event has been organised by Churches Together in Bromsgrove (CTIB). Last year, at the CTIB’s general election hustings, it was standing room only and it is hoped there will be a similar response for the EU event.

No booking is needed, people can just turn up to the event.
