Elderly man in critical condition after car crash on A38 in Bromsgrove

AN ELDERLY man has been seriously injured after a crash on the A38 in Bromsgrove yesterday (Thursday).

The man in his 90s was on his mobility scooter at about 8.15pm near the junction of Stoke Road and Charford Road where the collision, involving a black Volkswagen Polo, happened.

The pensioner suffered injuries to his leg, chest, abdomen, shoulder and head and was taken by ambulance to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

 




The Midlands Air Ambulance did also attend.

 


Police are investigating the incident and want any witnesses to the crash to call them on 101.
