YOUNGSTERS from Catshill Middle School who are doing a textile project using recycled materials were treated to a visit from Miss Worcestershire who spoke to them about her eco fashion dress made out of Christams cards.
Laura Beth Morgan received plenty of praise during the Miss Worcestershire finals for the dress which used 250 festive cars cut into shape by her family members.
The gown became the talk of the town and won her the ‘Eco Fashion’ category of the beauty contest.
The year seven pupils were keen to ask lots of questions and were impressed by what Laura had achieved.
Laura’s visit encouraged the pupils to develop ideas for their recycled textiles project making then think about how waste products could be creatively reused.
She said: “It was truly so refreshing to see the students get really involved in talking about eco fashion, they had so many questions to ask which was lovely to see.
“Thank you Catshill Middle School for inviting me along last week.”
