A POLICE operation in Bromsgrove on Wednesday (July 6) resulted in five arrests and drugs being seized.
The swoops, by officers from specialist police teams from across the county, came in response to intelligence received and concerns expressed locally.
The five were held on suspicion of conspiracy to supply drugs and Det Sgt Graeme Erskine said the operation was a great success.
“We responded to what the community was telling us about drugs being dealt in the Bromsgrove area.”
Insp Sarah Corteen from the Bromsgrove district Safer Neighbourhood Team, added: “The supply of drugs to Bromsgrove has been disrupted.
“Our policing priority is to protect communities from harm and this is one of the ways that we do it.
“Today’s result sends a clear message to criminals – don’t come to Worcestershire to commit crime.”
