FELLOWS Auctioneers are introducing “The Designer Collection”, their first auction of over 400 designer items including handbags and small accessories by brands including Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Mulberry to be sold by timed auction from Tuesday April 5 at 10am to Sunday, April 17 at 7.30pm.

Louise Ludlam, head of the Vintage Department at Fellows said: “This is the biggest sale of handbags and accessories we have ever held and with prices starting from £50 for a Hermes silk scarf lots are more affordable than bidders may initially think – especially when you consider how premium these designer pieces are. We are really excited to launch this new auction and are looking forward to seeing customers’ reactions at our viewing events!”

Not one but six covetable Hermes Birkin handbags feature in this auction; with no need to sign up to a lengthy waiting list, the Hermes Birkin 35 handbag in blue fjord leather has an estimate of £5,000-£7,000 – far below the retail price of around £12,000. With designer and branded accessories like this iconic Birkin looking to only increase in price in upcoming years, investing now could turn out to be a savvy move in the long run.

Viewing events will be held in Birmingham and London, with the Birmingham event taking place at Marco Pierre White Champagne Bar in The Cube, Tuesday, April 12 from 12noon to 8pm. All lots from the auction will be available to view and specialists from Fellows will be on hand to talk customers through the bidding process.
