POLICE are hunting a teenager who carried out a robbery on a delivery driver while his van was parked up in Bromsgrove.

The incident happened at midday on Wednesday (September 9) after the 43-year-old had dropped off a parcel in North Road.

As he was walking back to his van, he noticed a boy looking in the back of it and challenged him.

The teen grabbed his handheld courier device and ran off with it.

The driver gave chase towards West Road and the pair got into a struggle.

The robber threw the device onto the floor, smashing the screen, before running off towards Stratford Road and Bromsgrove town centre.

The raider was white, around 15 years old, 5ft 7ins tall and skinny. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt with grey tracksuit bottoms.

PC Lloyd Stone said “This happened in daylight hours near to a busy town centre.

“The victim has provided a good description of the offender and if you saw this person leading up to or after the robbery I would urge that they contact police.”

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
