County council creates hub for unpaid carers

Bromsgrove Editorial 13th Aug, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

A SINGLE hub for unpaid carers has been created by Worcestershire County Council.

It will be run by the Worcestershire Association of Carers and will offer tailored information, advice and support with the aim of improving the physical and emotional wellbeing of carers by providing access to services that can advise and support them.

According to the national Census (2011), there are currently 63,685 adult carers in Worcestershire and three in five of us will be a carer at some point in our lifetime.

For further information or advice please contact the Carers Helpline by calling 0300 012 4272 which is open Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm and 9am to 12noon on Saturdays or email [email protected] or visit www.carersworcs.org.uk
