Classroom window was smashed at Rubery school as burglars tried to gain access

BURGLARS attempted to gain access to Waseley Hills High School by smashing a double-glazed classroom window and trying to open the windows above it.

The incident happened about 12.15am last Sunday (March 26) and the raiders were foiled by a child lock which meant the windows would not open more than two inches.

Those trying to get in had left by the time police arrived.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
