Christmas fayre to be held in Catshill tomorrow

CATSHILL Methodist Church Centre’s annual Christmas Fayre will be held tomorrow (Saturday).

This year it will continue the theme of Remembrance as the event has been boosted by items from the homes of two ex-servicemen who both recently passed away after serving in the Second World War.

A spokesperson for the church said: “We don’t want to publicise names out of respect for the bereaved families, but we are grateful for the many donations of items for sale such as pictures, crockery, glassware, jewellery and other personal belongings that they have donated as they have cleared out the homes of their loved ones.

“However we will continue to remember those who have passed away recently and their families in the coming days and weeks.”

The bazaar, at the Church Centre in Golden Cross Lane from 2pm to 4pm, also includes Father Christmas in his grotto, a tea shop and many other stalls.
