A CHARITY concert is being held in memory of a much-loved Bromsgrove musician.

The event is being held on Friday (September 18) to celebrate the life of Mick Dolan who worked with many big names including Mick Jagger and Steve Winwood.

Birmingham-born Mick, who was also a producer, passed away in August 2014 from secondary cancer caused by a malignant melanoma.

The concert will celebrate Mick’s life and achievements while also raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Help Musicians UK.

Over the years he has lived, worked and made friends in Malvern, Bromsgrove, Cheltenham, Birmingham, Post Isaac and Turkey.

The folk, rock and blues event will be held at the The Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham and will be brought to audiences by Johnny Coppin, Steve Ashley, Phil Beer, Paul Burgess, Keith Donnelly, John Richards, John Broomhall and Patsy Gamble, with more to be announced.

Also in attendance will be many people who knew or worked with Mick to share stories and anecdotes.

Tickets are £20 and the show will start at 7.30pm.
