POLICE have released CCTV footage of two ram raids which took place in the same road in Frankley a month apart.
The first incident took place at 1.15pm on November 1 when four suspects approached the front of Heritage Supermarket in Arden Road.
On that occasion, the robbers used a blue flatbed Ford Transit Tipper – also stolen from Frankley on the same evening – to smash through the shutters of Heritage Supermarket, Arden Road.
Once inside, they stole a large amount of cash and cigarettes.
Then, at 2.55am on December 9, thieves used a white Ford Transit Tipper to reverse through the shutters at Martins newsagents, which is also on Arden Road.
The raiders attempted to pull a free standing cash machine out of the store but failed.
The white truck was followed closely by a blue Ford Focus, a grey Ford Mondeo and an off-road scooter.
Officers investigating the theft want anyone who saw those vehicles around the time to contact them.
A full investigation into both robberies is underway and two men have been interviewed voluntarily and continue to help police with their investigation.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information should call Det Con Michelle Beasley at Bournville Lane CID on 101.
