A MOGGY now residing at Bromsgrove’s Blue Cross Centre has been dubbed the ‘most unwanted cat in Britain’ after being homeless for longer than any other pet at the charity.
Prior coming to the Bromsgrove centre, the unlucky black 13-year-old Casey spent time at the North Yorkshire centre and Oxfordshire branches.
Now, after being taken in on May 9 2013, after his elderly owner could no longer look after him, he has been homeless for more than a year – ten times longer than most cats which come through the doors of the Blue Cross. The average kength of stay is 35 days.
Nicola Halfpenny, Blue Cross animal welfare assistant, said he was a great cat with a super personality.
“He is cuddly and affectionate and we don’t know why no-one wants him as he would make such a lovely pet.
“We often struggle to rehome black cats and people might think he is too old, but at 13 he still has potentially years left and lots of love to give.”
