RESIDENTS on Bromsgrove’s Oakalls and Parklands estates will be getting into the Christmas spirit when the yearly carol concert takes place.
The event – led by the Primrose Choir and organised by councillors Caroline Spencer and Rod Laight – takes place on the green by Trianon Road at 6.30pm on Sunday (December 21).
It was first launched in 2011 and has now become an annual celebration which brings the whole community together and one which many people look forward to.
Prior to the carols, residents young and old are invited to go along with their lanterns and glow sticks and be part of the parade to the green.
There will be festive refreshments available, including mulled Tardebigge cider, soft drinks, candy floss, sweets and mince pies.
And Santa will also be making a special guest appearance at about 7pm, thanks to the Bromsgrove Round Table.
This event is funded by Worcestershire County Council divisional funds but a small charge will apply to some of the refreshments.
Coun Spencer said: “The planning of the event takes time and commitment but is well worthwhile and an increasing number of residents attend each year.
“Having listened to feedback from residents in previous years we have made a few changes to the staging area and hope Sunday’s event will be the best ever yet.”
