Campaign launched by the district council to build a 'Better Bromsgrove'

A CAMPAIGN has been launched by the district council to get town traders, residents and organisations to pull together to build a ‘Better Bromsgrove’.

A questionnaire has been sent to business owners to gauge their views on the High Street following its regeneration and to ask them what they think should be done to improve it further.

That same consultation is now being undertaken with residents district-wide and the council will use the feedback when drawing up plans for the future.

Coun Rita Dent, the council’s portfolio holder for the town centre and economic development, has been collecting completed questionnaires from traders.

She said: “We wanted to hear what traders thought about the High Street regeneration which is now nearly completed but also how we could involve them more in creating a better Bromsgrove town centre which will attract even more people.

“So please do have your say and help us to make Bromsgrove even better.”

The questionnaire for residents will be in the July edition of Together Bromsgrove and can be dropped off at the Customer Service Centre in School Drive.

It can also be filled out online at www.bromsgrove.gov.uk and via the council’s Twitter and Facebook feeds from next month, using the hashtag #betterbromsgrove

The Standard supports the campaign to create a Better Bromsgrove and we would also love to hear from residents about how they feel the town could be improved.
