CAMERAS worth more than £1,000 were stolen during a burglary in Hollywood.

The owner left the property on Shawhurst Croft, at about 6.30pm last Monday (November 9) and when he returned at 8am the next morning he discovered the doorbell on the floor by the front door and after entering he found the house had been ransacked.

Two digital cameras had been taken along with clothing and aftershave worth £1,600 in total.

The patio door was open and police believe the raiders used this to enter the property. The upstairs window was also open with marks on the windowsill and mud was also found on the carpet.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
