Busy time for Jigsaw Theatre group with CATS youth production and new workshops

A THEATRE Company is running a new drama club Lickey this September.

The Jigsaw Players will hold workshops for children, teenagers and young adults of all abilities every Friday.

There will be three one-hour ‘Jigsaws Dramatix’ workshops each evening.

The 5pm to 6pm session is for anyone between six and 21 with special needs or disabilities to go along to with their friends or carers for an hour of fun and activities.




The workshop from 6pm to 7pm is for youngsters between six and 11, and will provide an opportunity for children to express themselves creatively while developing comunication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

The final group runs from 7pm to 9pm for young people aged between 12 and 21, and gives participants the chance to develop confidence, teamwork, and communication skills through activities such as script reading and improvisation.


The theatre company has just finished their sell out perfomance of Oliver the Musical, and the workshops will be led by their professional director Maggie Bishton.

Registration will take place at the first session (September 11) at the Trinity Centre, Old Birmingham Road, Lickey.

JIGSAW Players Theatre Company is also putting together a cast fur their purr-formance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS as part their Youth Production for 2016.

The company is looking for dancers and singers between the ages of eight and 21, with auditions taking place September 6 at Droitwich High School, Briar Mill, Droitwich, WR9 0AA.

Rehearsals will take place in Bromsgrove during November and from January, with the show being staged at Droitwich High School on March 18 and 19 2016.
