UKIP has now chosen the candidate who will contest the Bromsgrove seat at May’s general election
Stuart Cross, 33, lives in Redditch and currently represents UKIP on Worcestershire County Council.
Mr Cross said he understands local issues in Bromsgrove and will be championing UKIP’s common sense approach to politics on a national level.
Among the party’s national policies, UKIP wants to hold a referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union, provide a fully funded National Health Service free at point of delivery with protected frontline services, and offer a well-managed and controlled immigration system.
He said he was delighted to have been selected, adding: “I strongly believe in UKIP’s core mantra of personal freedom and democracy.
“I intend to represent UKIP in a positive light and campaign on issues that concern the public.”
