BROMSGROVE’S Bird’s Brewery is in the running to win a prestigious accolade in the Visit Worcestershire awards for excellence.
The firm has been selected as a finalist in the taste category after judges put its brews to the test.
Among the criteria they looked at were overall customer experience, the use of locally sourced ingredients and the way the company engaged with the local community.
The judges sampled a selection of three different Bird’s beers and conducted a telephone interview with managing director Chris Bird.
The winner will be announced tomorrow (Thursday).
Bird’s head brewer Mark Stephenson said: “It’s very exciting to have been shortlisted – we are passionate about producing great tasting beers.
“We brew our beers for the people of Worcestershire so it would be fantastic to win a Worcestershire award.”
