PUPILS from schools across Bromsgrove have been re-enacting the famous football match played as part of the Christmas Truce in the First World War.
Youngsters from Bromsgrove Preparatory School’s year eight and North Bromsgrove High School contested the game on Thursday (December 4) to mark the occasion which took place between British and German troops on Christmas Day in 1914.
The Last Post was played before the match began by Sophie Meadows, who is in year five at Bromsgrove Preparatory School.
