A BROMSGROVE woman who produces Christian art is inviting residents to come and have a look around her studio this weekend to see her work and get creative themselves.

Leonie Barrett will open her doors – at 49 Rock Hill – to the public from 2pm to 9pm tomorrow (Saturday) and between 2pm and 6pm on Sunday (August 30).

Leonie produces acrylic paintings inspired by Christianity and The Bible. Most are on canvas, but there will be framed drawings available to buy as well.

She took up art ten years ago and, as well as her own creations which she has exhibited in several venues, including churches and cathedrals, she has also held workshops.

Leonie’s husband Adam, an artist blacksmith, will also be doing live forge demonstrations and will be making small pieces which will also be available to buy on the day.

He produces a variety of pieces, including ornamental metalwork and sculptures. He also makes gates and railings.
