A BROMSGROVE woman was joined by her friends as she undertook a daring skydive to raise funds for Bipolar UK.

Charlotte Thorn chose to do the parachute jump to raise funds and awareness of the Bipolar which her late boyfriend Luke Barrett suffered with. He took his own life after a long-term battle with the condition.

Joining her for the jump was Lee Morgan, Jo Burrows, Sarah Sheasby, Jack McManus and Curt Williams.

It was organised by Jon Eeles who also jumped out of the plane to film the experience.

The drop raised more than £2,000 for the charity and, adding to funds already collected from a funday held in Bromsgrove in July, the overall total is now through the £5,000 barrier..

Charlotte said: “It was one of the scariest and best things I’ve ever done.

“I want to thank everyone who did it with me and to all those who have sponsored us for such a good cause and in memory of Luke.”
