A WOMAN is undertaking a 10K run around Richmond Park in London to raise funds for Bromsgrove’s Willows Hedgehog Rescue.

Sarah Barr, who will take up the challenge tomorrow (Saturday), said it was important to do everything possible to ensure hedgehogs in the UK had a long-term future.

“Willows is a local Bromsgrove charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of our native European Hedgehog.

“The creature is seeing massive declines in numbers and it is estimated that we could loose it as a species in the next 20 or so years if nothing is done.” she added.

Willows is run by Charlie Walker and Jayne Lawrence.

Jayne said: “We can’t thank Sarah enough for choosing us to help.”
