YOUNGSTERS from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School took part a sponsored walk to raise funds for Barnardo’s children’s charity.
This event was hailed a great success and raised £35.
The children dressed in animal themed costumes and walked with their parents, carers, grandparents and siblings, with 63 people in total taking part.
Jacqueline Walker, Jellybabies Nursery manager, said it was a lovely walk in the sunshine and staff were also able to talk to the children about road safety as well as helping others less fortunate.
After the walk everyone enjoyed snacks and drinks and all those who took part in the fund-raiser received a medal and a certificate.
“The event was a lovely family event and will be one to remember,” added Jacqueline.
