STUDENTS from Bromsgrove have earned First Class Honours degrees after completing courses at the University of Worcester.
Among them officially graduating in November will be 35-year-old Emma Wilcock, along with Nick Zabierek and Joanna Loucas, both 21.
Emma said it had been an inspirational and life-changing experience for her and added she was overwhelmed and emotional about getting a first, which she did not expect to receive.
“Being in this learning environment has been inspirational and life-changing for me. I didn’t think I could achieve a degree whilst being a mum to my daughter, working full-time as a music teacher and organising events for Macmillan.
“I have found it a challenge, but it has changed me as a person.
“I now believe anything is possible and have become a stronger, more confident person.”
Nick, received his first class degree in animation and screenwriting.
He said he was very proud to have achieved his grade, particularly as he followed the National Diploma route to the degree course.
University of Worcester vice chancellor, Prof David Green, said this year more than 250 students from the University of Worcester received firsts which was both a record and a tribute to their hard work and talent.
