A STUDENT from South Bromsgrove High School raised £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support by dying his hair green.
He chose the cause after his dad received treatment for cancer and had support from the charity throughout his recovery.
Matt said, “Macmillan’s colours are green and very recognisable and I thought dying my hair bright green would be a good way to raise awareness.”
He added when people asked why he had dyed his hair green he was able to tell them it was for Macmillan and that generated a few more donations.
Most of the cash came from staff and students at South Bromsgrove High and Matt’s friends and family were also very generous.
