Bromsgrove Sporting revamp to be officially unveiled

A PROJECT to breathe new life into Bromsgrove Sporting Football Club’s Victoria Ground will be officially unveiled tomorrow (Saturday).

Work has been underway since the club were granted planning permission in December to make a number of improvements, which bosses hope will allow the site to run more efficiently.

As part of the development, the clubhouse has been revamped, a new water tank, which can collect rainwater for the pitches, has been installed and the floodlights have been replaced.

Sajid Javid, the Conservative Party’s parliamentary candidate for Bromsgrove, will attend the unveiling along with representatives from the Football Association ahead of the Rouslers’ match against Lichfield City, which gets underway at 3pm.

The scheme has been made possible after the club secured a £50,000 grant from Budweiser before the Football Foundation then matched every £1 with £2, which took the grand total up to £150,000.
