Bromsgrove Society elects new chairman and two new members

THERE was a change in chairman at the latest meeting of the Bromsgrove Society.

Retired local authority engineer John Sketchley has taken over for the year ahead.

Also at the get together, the officers and president were re-elected, two members stood down and two new members – Alistair Moseley and Jo Slade – were elected.

There was lively discussion about excessive traffic in Bromsgrove District with the main thought being to find a solution to alleviate the current congestion.

After the meeting, members were told by Nick Joyce about the proposals for the Tudor House on New Road.

Nick is the architect for the conservation of the building.

Members were shown pictures of the original house and the survey details of the current building.

It is hoped the reinstatement work will begin soon and the architect and builders are currently awaiting final confirmation on a start date.
