TWO Bromsgrove Slimming World consultants found their 2015 inspiration after a special meet with Peter Andre.
Julie Poole and Dawn Kendle were thrilled to get the chance to cuddle up to the star who co-hosted the Slimming World Awards with the organisation’s chair and founder Margaret Miles-Bramwell at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.
Julie, who runs a Catshill group, said meeting the singer was a wonderful way to round off what had been a great 12 months and it was the perfect way to kick start another successful year.
She added meeting Peter was a real treat.
“I now feel powered up ready to help my members hold on to all of the fabulous changes they’ve made and to support even more people to become happier and healthier in 2015,” Julie said.
“It’s so rewarding to see people achieve things they didn’t think possible before losing weight, whether that’s wearing smaller-sized clothes, taking up new hobbies, reducing medication or being able to do more with their family and friends.”
Peter, who famously featured on the 2004 I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, said he was delighted to meet Julie and Dawn.
He added since becoming a dad he had realised weight management was more than just looking good, it was about keeping fit and healthy to set a good example for his children.
“At the awards I met lots of people who’ve lost incredible amounts of weight and it has completely transformed their lives and their families’ lives too,” Peter said.
“And every single one of them told me they couldn’t have made those changes without the support of their Slimming World group and their consultant, so people like Julie and Dawn are clearly very important.”
