ROCK Choir groups from Bromsgrove and Redditch are helping to raise funds by staging a concert of uplifting songs at The Bridge Church in Headless Cross at 7.30pm next Saturday.

The set from the UK’s leading contemporary choir will include a range of songs, including Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now and Aretha Franklin’s I Say A Little Prayer.

In addition to the myriad of talented solo singers, there will also be a ‘few surprises in store.’

First conceived in 2012, Rock Choir has been making waves to raise funds for both local and national charities.

The group has performed for Pattie Hill, the Mayor of Redditch and at various local events including the Astwood Bank Carnival, the Morton Stanley Festival and the Redditch Music Festival, as well as larger events at Wembley Stadium and Birmingham’s Symphony Hall alongside special celebrity guests including Toyah Wilcox.

Tickets – which include a glass of wine or juice cost £8 (£6 for under 16s) – are available by calling 01527 65845. A limited number will be available on the door. There will also be a raffle on the night.
