A TOTAL of £560 was raised for Save the Children from a quiz which took place at The Trinity Centre in Lickey.

It was organised by the Bromsgrove branch of the charity and the winners on the night were The Iron Butterflies.

And 19 local businesses supported the event by donating vouchers of £10 or more – that helped raise £190 alone for the cause.

Among them were Artrix, Chapters Hair, David Lloyd, Saks and Domino’s Pizza in Bromsgrove, along with Benessere, It’s a Gift, Michelle Griffin Academy, The Barnt Green Inn, the Tea Shop, The Victoria, Vinalia Wine Merchant and Warwick Butcher’s and Deli – all in Barnt Green.

Others included Fresh from Burcot garden centre, Longbridge Tyres and Bano Phool, Behan Brothers in Rubery.
