THE FIRST puppies to be born and raised in the puppy and birthing unit at the Bromsgrove Blue Cross will soon go to their new homes.
The litter of five were born at the centre to two-year-old Minnie who was found as a stray.
The tiny bundles have been called Diddly, Squidly, Wiggly, Tiggly and Beau.
Her pups are now six-weeks-old and happily all reserved to leave the centre to start happy new lives.
They have been living in a specially designed mum and pup area which is next to the centre’s team room.
There are large sliding windows between the two rooms meaning the pups can get used to the many sounds and smells of everyday life, as well as enjoy lots of cuddles during staff break times.
Neil Edwards, the centre’s manager, said: “It is great we now have a proper space for pregnant mums and their litters.
“These puppies have been doing really well and we look forward to seeing them in homes of their own soon.
“We are grateful for all the donations we have had so far towards the rebuild of the centre.”
