NORTH Bromsgrove High School defeated Bromsgrove School at this year’s Michael Holt debate.
The event – which was a keenly fought contest – was hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Bromsgrove and North Worcestershire.
The winners successfully debated ‘This house believes Great Britain should very much reduce its participation in international peace-keeping initiatives’.
The debate, held each year in memory of local architect and Rotarian Michael Holt. is jointly sponsored by the two clubs.
It is a fitting tribute to Mr Holt as he was also member of the prestigious Birmingham and Edgbaston Debating Society.
