BROMSGROVE Photographic Society (BPS) has regained the Midland Bank Trophy after a resounding victory over their counterparts in Redditch and Studley.

The competition, held on BPS’ home ground – Avoncroft Art Centre, Stoke Heath – saw them triumph over two groups which both have excellent reputations as competitive clubs with equally excellent photographers in their ranks.

But it was the strong images from Bromsgrove that won the night winning in both printed and projected image categories.

Chairman Roger Lewis said “This would be the first time I will be looking forward to cleaning silverware and have no intention of letting them go back.”

The society, one of Bromsgrove’s oldest art organisations, was established in 1950 and is now on the rise.

That victory over Redditch and Studley earlier this month was preceded by a successful exhibition in October at Artrix.

It has also managed, in the last 12 months, managged to attract many new members to the club.

New members are welcome to come along to meet us at our regular meetings on Tuesdays at 8pm (apart from January 5) or visit www.bromsgroveps.co.uk for the programme.
