STAFF at Bromsgrove’s Heathbrook House Nursing Home and their friends have raised £60 for the Motor Neurones Disease charity by taking part in a mass ice bucket challenge.

Morrisons in Bromsgrove donated the ice for the feat and ten people in total got a nice cold soaking for the cause which has been a worldwide social media sensation.

Activities organiser Gail Bessent said: “It was a massive bag of ice and, thanks to Morrisons’ generous donation, the water was exceptionally cold for us.”

As well as the ice bucket challenge, there was a craft fayre which raised £300 for the residents’ activities fund.

“We want to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.” added Gail.
