A BROMSGROVE-based nurse has been given a prestigious award for the outstanding mentoring and support he has given his students.
Community psychiatric nurse Stephen Bradley, who lives in Redditch, won Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust Community and Specialist Services’ Outstanding Mentor award.
The 37-year-old, who works at the Princess of Wales Hospital, was nominated by a Worcester student nurse.
Mr Bradley said he had been inspired by his own brilliant mentors and was honoured and humbled to be nominated, acknowledged and valued for his work.
He added he not only tried to create a productive and enjoyable work environment but also a challenging learning one too – ultimately promoting clinically safe and effective mental health nursing.
“This is a legacy I would like to pass down to newer generations of mental health nurses.” Mr Bradley said.
