BROMSGROVE Motorcycle Club took a 90-year-old on the ride of his life for his birthday.

Arthur Danks from Redditch, hit the roads in a side car as part of a surprise organised by friend Sue Pearce.

She contacted the club after the motorcyclist enthusiast stopped riding because of his deteriorating eyesight.

Riders Steve Coley and Neil Cook then surprised him on the day and took him out for free.

Mrs Pearce said: “He had a brilliant day and he was over the moon. I couldn’t think of anyone who deserves it more.”

Residents are invited to join the club which meets at Wychbold British Legion every other Monday.
