BROMSGROVE man Euan ‘AJ’ Rose will appear on a brand new gardening TV show.

The Instant Gardener, which airs for the first time on Monday (June 20), is already being tipped to be the ‘new Groundforce’.

AJ is the head of construction on the 45-minute show, which will be on every weekday afternoon at 3.45pm on BBC One for the next fortnight.

On the programme, he is joined by designer Danny Clark and horticulturist Louise Hampden, and the trio will be tasked with transforming gardens in just a day while the owners are taken off for a day trip by Countrywise’s Helen Skelton.

She then brings them back for the big reveal.

AJ said: “Danny has produced some really exciting ideas and challenged me to make some pretty unusual features such as garden seats with walls and arches attached to them and even one with a Doctor Who theme.”

AJ has been on television before in Channel 5’s ‘Garden ER’ and ITV’s ‘The Renovation Game’ but this is by far his biggest role to date and he is keeping his fingers crossed that it gets big viewing figures.

Following filming, he is now back and busy in Bromsgrove, doing indoor and outdoor home improvements which he loves.

“Each day is a new adventure,” he said.
