A BROMSGROVE lawyer will be lining up in Sunday’s London Marathon to raise funds for the Stroke Association.
Darryll Thomas works for mfg Solicitors which is based on Bromsgrove High Street and represents the charity.
The dad-of-two, who has set himself a target of £500, decided to run the marathon because the Stroke Association relied on fund-raising for 70 per cent of its income.
The associate solicitor and specialist in employment law wants to help the charity build on the success of opening the UK’s first Life After Stroke Centre in Bromsgrove in 2012.
Darryll said: “I enjoy running and keeping myself fit, but a marathon is one of the most arduous tests of stamina there is.
“Knowing I’m helping such a great cause will keep me going over those 26 long miles and the more I can encourage people to dig deep and sponsor me, the more determined I’ll be.”
