KFC STAFF in Bromsgrove celebrated their one-year anniversary with a fund-raising event last week.

To mark its first birthday staff hosted a charity fun day and raised around £700 for the UN World Food Programme.

The money will go to the cause which KFC has been working with since 2007. It is aimed at feeding some of the poorest children in the world – so far, KFC UK has raised £3.5million for the cause.

On the day, visitors took part in raffles, face-painting and there was even a special appearance from the fire brigade which delivered important safety tips to Bromsgrove residents.

Lee Jones, KFC Bromsgrove’s team leader, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the one-year anniversary of KFC being part of the local community and thank our loyal customers for stopping by.

“The UN World Food Programme is such a great cause so we’re really pleased that we can help contribute towards providing for less fortunate children around the world.”
