THERE will be plenty of flag waving, foot-tapping and clapping along to classics when Bromsgrove holds its own Last Night of the Proms.

The event at 7.30pm on July 9 at Barnt Green Baptist Church takes place as part of this year’s Bromsgrove Festival.

It will feature Blackwell Concert Band performing classic Proms songs, including Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia, along with some of their own favourites.

Organiser Jules Evans said: “The BromsProms was given a great reception and was a huge success when we held it years ago and we are hoping for a similar response this time.

“People are always asking me when we are going to do another one and now we have an answer for them – July 9.”

Tickets, which are £10 for adults and free for under 16s, are available from the Bromsgrove Cobbler in Church Street, at www.artrix.co.uk or by calling the Artrix box office on 01527 577330.
