GOLFERS swapped their clubs and caddies for coffee and cakes to raise more than £1,000 for a cancer charity.

Bromsgrove Golf Centre held its coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on September 24 and September 25.

Those who attended raised £1,043 for the cause over the two days through a cake sale full of homemade treats, a raffle and donations.

Organisers Mary Robinson, Michelle Green and Maxine Mortimer presented the cheque to Kelly Whitehouse, Macmillan’s fund-raising manager last week.
