THE Bromsgrove Forum for Older People celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday, at the Life after Stroke Centre with a strawberries and cream tea.

The event saw 30 of the forum’s members and friends entertained.

An excellent range of food and drink was laid on, as members, thoroughly enjoyed eating their strawberries and cream, as well as being treated to a look at a variety of old newspapers and books, which dated back to the early 1900s.

The group, run by and for Bromsgrove residents aged 50 or over, encourages people to come together and discuss local topics, helping people to meet and make new friends, as well as allowing members to share their experiences with others.

Members meet up once a month, typically on the second Tuesday at the Life After Stroke Centre, Church Lane, Bromsgrove, starting at 10am and concluding at 11.30am.

For more information, call the forum’s chairperson Carole Tipping on 01527 870076 or secretary Mary Reynolds on 01527 876293.
